विवरण
John the Apostle lies on a stony shoreline with a parchment scroll before him, writing with a feather quill while a Roman soldier stands guard in the distance. The barren coast and watchful military presence present the setting of Patmos, where John was exiled “because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” His aged face, simple robe, scroll, and pen emphasize the faithful witness of a servant receiving and recording the revelation entrusted to him. The scene reflects the opening of Revelation: suffering, perseverance, and prophetic testimony under imperial pressure. It is well suited for teaching on exile, endurance, apostolic witness, prophecy, persecution, and the book of Revelation.
